Baseball 2024

Don't look now but the injury riddled Dodgers with their patchwork pitching staff and punchless bottom half of the batting order still have the 3rd highest win total in the majors. With as many as 11 pitchers being on the IL at one time and Betts and Muncie out of the lineup they have limped along and managed to have almost the biggest divisional lead in all of baseball.

Should they ever get even a little healthy they should make wreckage of their division by September but I doubt if their no-name pitching staff will hold up in the playoffs. Still, better than being a Mariner fan.... ;)

I want them to win it. That way when the day comes I’m strolling the streets of Seattle and see Stanton washed up walking out a strip club I can tell him “just like how money talks in there, if you would of spent a little on the roster you would of found success for your team” then pat him on the back, tell him “I’m sorry you lost your family because your crack and stripper addiction.” Air shake his hand and walk off.

Well, at least those DEFENDING WORLD SERIES CHAMPS aren't in last...or even second to last...hell, only 5 games out? LET'S GOOOOOOO!
Only 60 more regular season MLB games left!

Texas Rangers only 4 games behind the Astros!
**Edit: only 3 games behind

7 days to the trade deadline!

Mariners in distress!

... and those amazing your Royals last night won their 56th game, equaling last year's total. Amazing!! ... oh, and Bobby Witt had another 3 hit game (a single shy of the cycle) - that's 4 straight 3-hit games folks, now hitting .341, 22 stolen bases, with 69 RBIs (hitting in the #2 slot), 18 HRs, and 82 runs scored... Amazing

Go Royals

About time ---> actually past due...

Scott Servais shows his frustration:

One of the most brutal and honest thoughts I have ever heard from any coach....

..take a deep breath, Canuck.....

Since taking the 10-game lead in the AL West on June 18 to improve to the 44-31, the Mariners have gone 9-19. 🤯

Thank you for your Servais

Deadline..... playoffs......Mariners know not of what you speak.
Crickets??? Two big moves and crickets???

Hope they work out for you guys. Arozarena should be a great help to your offense.

Go Mariners, but more importantly, Go Royals!!!!

don't think that pitching is the problem, so the Garcia deal didn't make sense to me unless they're planning to win a few more 1-0 games :0. Love the Arozarena deal.. fingers crossed.

Too busy with life this week. I will review their roster changes and respond accordingly.

I love me some Arozarena!

The Ms gave been playing like complete ass lately, hopefully a locker room shake up turns things around.

8 runs in the 1st inning?!?! What is happening

Remember, they are playing the White Sox, the worst team by far (and that includes Oakland) in the major leagues. The White Sox have 27 wins (a 0.257 winning percentage) and have lost their last 11 games. The White Sox are at or near the bottom of the league in batting average, runs, era, and whip.

Oh I'm well aware. They just looked like a big league offense for a few minutes and I needed to savor it if only for a brief moment 🤣

Woo was unreal last night. His fast ball was electric, front door 2 seamers just catching the corner on lefties was next level. Wonder what happens when Julio is healthy. They can't not play Robles. Does Hanniger ride the plank and Robles play right? Pretty sure Garver is out of the lineup except when he gives Cal a break catching.

How 'bout those Mariners, huh? Oh boy. Up by 10 games, then doing, or being like the Mariners. It's just easier to like baseball without liking the Mariners, the best farm team in MLB. Although there are times I wonder about that dubious distinction.

Been a Dodger fan since '55 when they were in Brooklyn. Duke Snider was my boyhood idol, along with Don Drysdale. They have lost a lot of talent in the few years.

ESPN Sunday Night Baseball is complete garbage. Everything about it just screams D-League. Years ago when Jon Miller and Joe Morgan announced they actually talked baseball, now announcers do little more than recite statistics and yuk it up. I muted it to avoid the irritation but the full screen graphics of meaningless bullshit was just as intrusive. Fortunately I have MLB broadcast and get about 80 games a week. Ignoring the worst telecast of them all won't be much of a problem.
