Baseball 2024

Again as expected.

All star game comes and goes, no significant trades made and the roster doesn't get the boost it needs to see October.

Trade deadline his not until end of July - though those amazing young Royals dod make an early trade last week to bolster the bullpen.

Go Royals!!

Damn, I was pretty excited for a strong season, but I'm not very optimistic about this team and remaining schedule. Astros coming up, and then another rout against the Angels.

Mariner's dirty black summer

They have been in 1st place of the division for 2 months. Hitting is definitely getting somewhat better until it doesn't. Lately they have been getting players on base and in scoring position. In the last couple of series they have had bases loaded several times per game and never scored. The next series against the Astros will, IMHO, be very telling.

1995...
Hmmm...

Look M's fans, this is simple. My O's need pitching and your M's need hitting. We have excess cost controlled hitting. You have some pitching. To quote Monty Hall "Lets Make a Deal." LOL

The Rangers need to wake up now.

Sorry! A Mariner's win loss record doesn't long arm very well.

... yabut, those amazing young Royals are 3-0 out of the gate after the Allstar break. Starting pitchers gave up 1 run over 3 games, and the staff as a whole gave up only 3 runs. Bobby Witt Jr. perhaps the most exiting young player in the game, went a cool 9 for 11 in the series. They have climbed within 5 of Cleveland and hold the final wild-card slot. Thanks for listening...

Go Royals!!!

If I didn't have emotional ties to Seattle sports (used to watch games with family members who are now deceased) I'd absolutely get on the KC and or Cleveland bandwagon.. both great teams that I don't think anyone wants to face in the playoffs

Munoz has been fun to watch this year. Dude's fastball is next level, 2 and 4 seem. lh or rh batter doesn't matter.. they should just end the at bat when he gets ahead cuz that slider out pitch is pure filth

Ty France put out on waivers. A little too late if you ask me, not a fan of late season roster moves for longterm players. I guess that is if someone picks him up. I feel like it doesn’t give the team time to build chemistry. My armchair two cents.

Locklear played well when France was out this year which is a bonus.

I get this move, particularly given the last couple months... he's hitting like .160. Still sad to see him go. I hope he gets picked up and turns things around; sometimes a change so scenery is what it takes. I suspect Palanco is on a short leash. His season numbers are worse than France'. Dylan Moore is no slacker at 2nd and there are some young bucks that can platoon with him there.

I’d love to see Polanco gone, Bliss is a good fielder, fast, bunts well and had good hitting when he was a regular in the lineup. Moore is one of the best utility players and plays 2nd well.
