20, 16 and 12 runs, yup time for Edgar. Can probably intermix big dumpers walk off too, I’m buckled in for the next 20!

Gotta say, much respect to the Rangers. I think they have a championship team. Came in professional and handled business. Imazing what happens when you spend a shit ton of money in the off season.
Seattle has the money. PNW deserves a championship. Spend the freaken money JERRY

Is it Jerry? He likes to deal, and pull in trades instead of spending cash, but I always thought it was John Stanton and the owners that gave Jerry the short leash. Ms brought in 83+ million last year (https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...tion-athletics-post-top-5-profit/11530150002/), and we’re relying on Mike Ford as a DH

.500 ball club with a .500 manager.
This team is killing me.

Sounds like you guys need an update on those amazing young Royals.

Those amazing young Royals were just swept in a 3-game series in Miami, bringing their season record to a blazing 18 and 44, that's a 0.290 clip. They would need a 26-game win streak just to get to .500 ball, but, ever the optimist, .500 ball would currently tie them for the Division lead.

Go Royals!!!

The sub 500 Mariners need a good brawl to fire them up.

Gotta wonder if there is any second guessing going on about the decision to extend Julio in the manner chosen. The face and future of a successful franchise should not be batting in the .230-.240 range.

J-Rod is a lot more than a hitter. I have seen some amazing defense lately. And his fun/positive demeanor in the clubhouse can be/is very infectious. That, too, is very important.

For 210M guaranteed I might develop a positive demeanor. Well maybe not.

Albert Belle is envious of his positive demeanor.

Sophamore jinx, I wouldn't worry, this kid has all the tools, he'll be OK.

Baltimore is getting hate f'd right now. Cheers everyone.

Edited previous profanity. Sorry Jesus

Veering off course here but did anyone else see the two botched calls at home plate this week? Runners were called safe after protest that the catcher was blocking the plate. In neither instance was the plate blocked but the jury back in New York decided that the plate was blocked and overturned the out call. Some of the old timers that have been around the game for over 60 years agreed that they were the worst calls they had ever seen. I have been around the game for 75 years and never saw such bullshit in my life. I was simply incredulous when the calls were overturned and after watching each at least a dozen times can see no evidence of plate blocking. Tonight I saw a strike called on a guy with a pitch just under his chin. Others were two baseball widths off of home plate and called strikes. It just seems to be getting worse and the game is suffering from such erratic calls. It's ironic that the strike zone is prominently displayed on the screen yet despite so many horrible calls nothing is done about them. It is also ironic that they have all of the timer bullshit going but can't determine when a ball actually crosses the plate. We are the species that can put a probe on an asteroid 40 million miles out in space and return samples to earth but yet are completely baffled by a 17'' plate that is 60'6'' away.
