Hey, the Cubs got swept by the Diamondbacks late in season so we'll take credit for some of their success. The way things are going for the underdog this year, plus the fact that we missed the playoffs by two games, I thought Jeez, we could have won it all!

I know it's the world series and all, but this late in the season - when there's frost on the pumkin - I just can't bring myself to care the slightest about baseball. My grandson starts basketball practice next week, and it's the middle of football season.

I love baseball, and I will watch the games. But when did the "October classic" for the "Boys of Summer" become the "November classic"? Looking forward to the first World Series Game cancelled because of snow (albeit not this year)...

One thing I enjoy about baseball is you don’t see all these “modern” segregating groups. No rainbow weeks, one national anthem (or two for Canada), no pandering to acronym soups, minimal politics etc. It’s an all for one kind of thing that I thoroughly respect.

Lol I was making more of a “generally”statement to begin with. Also one night instead of week long events, with very minimal advertising in comparison to other sports.

You gotta look at the whole package of what I said in comparison, you picked too many tomatoes and are getting picky.

If they want to see the postseason next year, they better start right now in the off season.

only reason I watched the WS....almost didn't because of the sting from 2010 and especially 2011. Thankfully, I decided to watch the thinking man's game this go around rather than thinking while watching paint dry... :LOL:

Well, at least one AL WEST franchise won their first World Series championship today. Super happy it was the Texas Rangers!
