Bad outing for FlyFish Dan

I once caught a very big Leopard Shark off Sunset Cliffs in CA. I put that thing in a large tide pool. So many beach goers gathered around to look at this beautiful fish. It was quite rewarding for me. I knew that the tide would come in and he would swim freely again, never knowing what a rock star he had become.

Did FlyFish Dan just do an extended drive by?

Maybe he'll contribute to other threads that aren't about him.... 🤷‍♂️

Hard to monetize a post on PNWFF...
Just ask the mods...
😅

@FlyFishDan , so was that just a drive-by? Or were you gonna stick around and contribute a little?

Ya may even learn something...check out some of the articles, there's a lot of great ones by folks who fish a lot and know a lot. Shoot, you could even contribute there too if you chose to do so....or learn some basics about tiger musky fishin' and the appropriate gear to target such animals...😆😆😆

🍻

Bad look Dan. You just told a lot of people that work hard, and check this site daily that they’re “unhealthy”
I’ve decided it’s time for me to leave this group. To be honest, it no longer feels like the healthiest environment for me. Some of the discussions here tend to lean toward negativity, and it may be worth reflecting on how we approach both people and topics. Personally, I believe spending too much time on social media can be unhealthy, and I encourage anyone interested to explore research on the topic. Your response to my comment further proves my point, as it took my words out of context and turned them into something negative. My comment was actually in the first person and about myself.

Over the past year, the most popular thread has centered around me, much of it focused on judging how I represent myself and the sport. I appreciate those who stood by me or chose to stay out of the conversation, but overall, the negativity has made it difficult to stay engaged.

That said, I wish you all the best. Tight lines and FISH-ON!!

This is actually false. Check the otter thread my friend.

Sorry to see you go homie! You have to have a certain thickness of skin to survive in this place and I see you getting eaten alive bud. Tight lines

Giving up on social media, so your going to stop posting YouTube videos promoting using trout rods for Steelhead on the Olympic Peninsula?

Good on ya, I'm proud of you Dan!

Nope...just other pressing things to occupy my time. Work, family, friends, fishing, YouTube...did you miss me??
Not really, that was a serious question. Guess that's a no....

And no, this thread is quite far from the most popular subject. And any negativity contained within this was brought on by yourself (3wt for steelhead, 6wt for muskies---come on, you've gotta be better than that when you're reaching a larger audience)

The fact that you seem to think that this is overwhelmingly negative tells me you've looked no further than this single thread & haven't bothered to look or contribute anywhere else. Good luck with your YouTube.

Too much social media is unhealthy....Except YouTube and Facebook where things can be monetized. Got it.

Guess we'll just have to continue being negative without ya. Doubt this place will survive the next year without it's most popular subject to focus on, but such is life.
