Anyone ever chop a skagit head down?

So awesome.... @SSPey is that guru with this type of stuff....

Buuuut, it's still kinda fun to play around with it on your own....even if it ends up at the same place ya woulda been anyway....talking in complete circles here. I guess bottom line: this shit should be fun.....was it?

Absolutely! it's a great feeling when everything connects and the head goes flying and the running line just keeps on going through the guides and everything turns over and lays out just as it should. Almost as good as feeling the tug of a fish!

Well you stood up next to a Skagit head. Chopped it down, with the edge of your haa-aa-and.
 
Never cut down a Skagit head but I have chopped down a 8wt fly line into an ultra light Skagit head for a 3wt. Worked well. I just used a piece of mono, nail knot and loop knot on the rear end.
