I still care...
Thought I'd take a few minutes and post my first "non-classified" message... Like many others, I'm also on the other site and at the urging of "Buzzy," decided to join here. Let's face it, one can't have too much of a good thing! As my avatar might show, I was a Seattle cop way back in the mid '70's and lasted for almost 33 years. After pulling the plug in '06, I became a teen driving instructor for the next 10 years (9-1-1 Driving School) and were maybe some of the best years of my life. Physical issues forced me to hang it up and so I flagged traffic the next 7 years and fully retired after burning through 7 of my 9 lives. My first catch on a fly was at 14 years old, on a Royal Coachman in the Cedar River. Since then, my new passion has not wained one bit. Thousands of equipment dollars later, I fish when I can and have been painting fish and fishing scenes on rocks for the past 30 years. Most works have been donated to my club's annual banquet auction; proceeds go to Methow Aero Rescue, a great, important organization. My love for this pastime is hopefully represented in a couple of the attachments to follow... stay safe out there!

Very cool art work! (Welcome!)

I have never seen rocks painted with scenery, you’re talented.
Welcome to PNWflyfishing!

@SARG950,

Welcome.

Thank you for your Service.

@SARG950 , welcome to the board and Thank You Sir for a lifetime of service and sacrifice for your community; us. And I love your artistic talent and creativity!

Thank you to all for the warm welcome, and positive comments on the rocks. To Doc Magill, yeah, I do tie a lot. Probably like 90% of us on the site, my boxes probably contain 20 to 30 different flies. And the truth is, I only use two to 3 for every lake I go to. A balanced leech, a black and tan, and a repli-mid.

If it's something you can/would post publicly... what would a fancy painted rock price range look like?

Welcome to the site. What medium are you using to paint the images? Impressive.
