After work trip with new species for me

I made a quick evening trip up to Silver Lake in search of Crappie and Bluegill.
I caught lots of Crappie, 1 LMB and no Bluegills.
A small jig baitfish pattern under an indicator worked well.



I was trying a Boobie on a full sink and was getting lots of hits, but I couldn’t get a solid hookup.
Eventually I had a good grab and it stuck. After a spirited battle I finally landed it. This is a new species for me-

I see a lot more of this kind of trip in my future. Fun.
