We live in unprecedented times and those of us that run this page are passionate about conservation and our environment and public land access. We have decided to create a subforum where some of these borderline topics can be posted, discussed and debaited a little more freely then usual if you will.

This is not an invitation to go on political rants or act a fool and I strongly encourage everyone to read the rules before posting! This is a trial run and this can be closed if we can't play nice....

Fishing, Hunting & Habitat Conservation

For all topics that get in to the politics of conserving our natural resources. From watershed management, public lands access, wildlife management, etc. Please read guidelines before posting. Reply privileges may be lost if rules are not followed.

A place where the thick skin people can rub with other thick skin folk. Don't make it a gun fight. Instead consider it more nerf battle. With eye protection. and padding. Oh and we have chaperones @Evan B , @Billy , @Josh , @Jesus.
 
One can always Ignore this forum if they want...

If you can not control ones self, ignore the forum. That way you will not know what you are missing out on...

Exactly. When you view the forum list, there is an option to ignore entire subforums. Some may want to do that. Orrrr, if you want to keep up to date on the content, but don't trust yourself to behave, you can also have us remove your ability to reply as a preemptive measure ;)
 
Should remove the report feature for this sub forum. I think you will hear from cry babies
 
The thread I started about "WDFW is disfunctional" has seemed to be respectful overall. Saying that, I do not know what happened behind the scenes. Probably do not want to either.

I did obtain approval before posting it. It shows the commitment to allow some discussion as well as posters being respectful with others. It is still unlocked, surprisingly to me.

I just hope we all that post here can continue to do so.

I believe (from experience) that 99% of the people here can handle these discussions just fine. It's just the gamble on if that other 1% can help themselves or not.

If anyone remembers: 2yrs ago we launched a second forum that was more gear-fishing focused to give an alternative to another very popular fishing forum that also saw a takeover like the one most of us here used to be a part of. That lasted all of a few months because the majority of the crowd there couldn't help themselves with constant political bickering in threads of ALL types. We decided it wasn't worth it and closed up shop pretty quick. Especially since we were so used to how smoothly things operate over here.
