Country music dude Dierks Bentley released a song last year called "Beers on me" with alt-hop-hop/country guys Hardy and Breland. If you aren't against country music, It's a pretty cheery song about sharing a brew with friends with the non-Dierks verses helping to expand what is considered "county". If you hate country music, you're talking to the wrong guy. I love virtually all genres of music.
Anyway, the song has the line “buckets for a Lincoln” in there. Meaning 5 beers for $5 bucks. Obviously Bud or Coors or whatever.
This can’t really be a thing, right? When did you last see something like 5 beers for $5? I’m sure I have at some point, but like in 2005 or something maybe. Admittedly, if I’m buying a beer somewhere these days, it tends to be one of the 7 brewpubs I have within walking distance. But it’s not like I never go to a regular bar. I feel like $2 happy hour tallboys of Rainer/PBR might have been a thing I saw in the not too distant past. But I'm pretty sure I saw they were up to $3 when @charles sullivan, @Chris Johnson and I had a beer a few weeks back.
Are we in the northwest just getting screwed out of easy drinking cheap beer? Or do they just assume all we drink is heavy IPAs?
I guess this is also a bit of a "What are you listening to" xpost, so I'll embed the song also.

I like the live performance video better, but you can see the original video (which is kinda cute in a fake "made for TV" way) here in case you are interested.
