I really love the "fly rod" that was generated....

Son, only a 30 pack?
You’ll go through that before both sides your first humpy is done baking in the sun on the beach!

In other humpy news, this may help some folks who are fishing with youngsters or new anglers. Buzz bombs and rotators aren’t cheap anymore, so if someone is hooking up on the bottom and losing gear, this technique may be helpful. I fished next to a guy nearly 20 years ago using this technique and he was railing on fish.
He would raise his rod so the slip bobber would slide down to the swivel, then drop his rod. He got most of his hits when the jig was dropping, then the bobber would bury. He was using a 1/8 oz pink steelhead jig. He had on maybe 2-3’ of leader and had his bobber stop set about the same, so fishing 4-6’ deep. The visual of the bobber going down might help keep young and new folks interested.

I did the exact same thing with my kids in the river, except I used a fixed float, would tell them to just pull it back 6" or lift and let it go, takes are on the drop!

Stonefish is renowned across the web for his artistry, especially the stick figures he renders.
That humpy represents one of the finest representations of gorbuscha seen anywhere on the internet.

Stones is tricky, he won't draw and label a pink in the same panorama, he doesn't want to give away the setup works for Pinks also. Pinks, like Humpies, also attack on the drop.

I was looking at todays creel checks for MA 10 coho and noticed two pinks checked at Port Angeles and one at Sekiu.
