Guess that is why they play nine.

I'm fucked again this year. I have Dish TV and no fucking Baseball games again this year. In about 4 more months I can tell Dish TV where to stick their cable. It will be out of sight.

Jim, can't you buy a season pass to something like MLB Exrea Innings? They broadcast about 90 games a week and many have a choice between which announcers you want to listen to. The price is about what you would pay for lift tickets for a couple to ski for one day.

Today the Mariners are playing the Twins and you have a choice of listening to Mangle Mouth Dave Sims or you can listen to the Twins announcers. Choice is a wonderful thing.

I'm to cheap to do something like that. At least I get some BB and some NFL. So I'm happy.

Baseball should be listened to on an AM radio on the porch on a hot summers night. And no DH. Former pitcher here, who was also a decent at bat.

... with crackling and interference from some C&W station from Podunk Oklahoma making intermittent appearances ...

M’s fan but this year the best thing will be the $5 stadium beers.

You’ll need them through the ups and downs that they will inevitably give us again this year.

I know it's early in the season, but 4 losses in a row on the road just sucks.

Jim, we are too old to be cheap. Do what makes you happy as there isn't that much time left. I see too many old folks denying themselves any pleasure because they have always been "Cheap" and continue to be right to the end. I may go broke before it is all over but I am not going to live like I'm already broke before I get there.

Today I ordered MLB Extra Innings for $140 for the season. About 90 games a week to choose from, no more Mangle Mouth Dave Sims or ESPN fraternity club good 'ole boys nonsense. I'll watch a tiny fraction of those games but at least I'll have a choice.

I very seldom watch entire games. I watch for a while and I get bored and change channels. Not watching the Mariners doesn't bother. I just like to bitch, That's all.

Looking forward to tonight's game - would normally root for the M's, but Justin Verlander is probably my favorite pitcher of this era - old school, good to seem him back after TJ surgery.

Enjoy the game!!

cheers
