I just can't help but feel this doesn't end up going well for Flores.
I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt because he's filing this lawsuit KNOWING that he's likely not going to work in the NFL ever gain. Seems like you don't do that if you aren't sure of yourself.

Tanking has been known about for a long time. It seems like it's become the lead story now that someone sued the league over blatant racist hiring practices. Seems like buying the lead to me.
Not to downplay the racial aspect, but I think the reason that the tanking thing gets so much play is that it risks a LOT of money/damage for the league due to the gambling aspect. Ross could pay Flores 100k to tank and them make double that with a few bets against his own team. Even the perception of the fix being in is going to be a nightmare for the league. There's a reason Pete Rose won't ever be allowed back in baseball.

Even if there is straight up racism in hiring, the NFL knows that it isn't losing them money since it's been there for decades. Causing problems with newly legalized sports gambling or the associated huge sponsorships is likely to be something that the owners care about far more. Reprehensible perhaps, but I suspect sadly true.

Oh I don't doubt him at all. I tend to believe the issues he brings to light are quite real.

My statement of it not ending well for him is more to do with the money and steamroller approach that the NFL is capable of. In spite of how anyone feels about the Kapernick situation I have no doubt he felt confident he was in the right yet look how that played out. Standing up to the NFL in a way that shines such a bad light on them is not an easy thing to do. They are a giant and will do whatever it takes to defend their cash cow. I don't know much about Flores in the grand scheme of things, but there's no doubt his NFL coaching career is likely finished no matter how this plays out. That sucks cause he really does strike me as a quality coach, and he would potentially have many years of a career ahead of him.

Personally I hope it works out for him. I'm not a fan of something as large as the NFL being able to bully and buy their way out of bad situations, but they have a history of doing exactly that.

SFR (sort of football related). Was using my favorite weather app to check out tides, wind and weather to plan this weekends fishing adventure and it showed me this.

Question: can I trust the wind, weather and tide forecasts if they are off on the the date of the super bowl by a week…

They could never draft a good QB. All they ever got were losers. Joe Borrow if he stays healthy will be a winner.
She always tells me that they need to clean house in the ownership department and let more adept people run the organization

You go girl! Claiming that phony god bullshit always offended me. If there was a god why would he/she/it favor their sorry asses over someone else? The implication that god selectively favors one team over the other is ridiculous-unless of course you assume that god is a Fan Boi-say a Raider fan for instance.

I see Russell as a two decade old pickup truck with 280,000 miles. Good in it's day but overdue for replacement. And this time with a full sized model, not a Ranger....
Or even a drum brake deathtrap!

Hey, God's a betting gal, didn't you know. She lays down bets, then decides the outcomes of the games, it's all rigged I tell you.

Cheers (watching out for that lightening bolt)

Well, it played out as a massive settlement to him because the NFL was terrified of a lawsuit ever getting to the discovery phase.

I can't help but wonder if he concluded the opposite: I'm good enough to coach (i.e., deserve to get paid), but I won't really get to. I've got a sham interview in NY, and my last interview was a (allegedly) hung-over Elway. Hard to conclude they're taking me seriously. So...if this is how I have to make the league pay me...this is how I have to.

Months of investigating Snyder and the WFT organization and the only thing that comes out is a few emails from Gruden? :ROFLMAO:

No doubt, but I'm not convinced that Kaep, Flores, or most in these types of situations consider that any sort of victory.

Not sure that is the conclusion I come to through this. Was just reading this article and it sure makes it seem like whatever the NFL did find isn't gonna be released anytime soon.

c-hawks beef up Hurtting defensive coordinator position.

The fact that came against Cam Newton makes it even better!

I never liked Elway and now like him even less. How disrespectful to show up for an interview with a hangover.
