Hi guys,
I'm looking for a 10wt for windy permit, cuda, roosters, big reds, big carp, muskie/pike, jacks, etc.
Basically, the rod I'll grab when my strongest 8wt is not enough for the job. Whether that's because of the wind, flies or fish. Or all 3.
And I want to keep this under $500, and brand new, so interested in the following-
TFO Moment
TFO Blitz
TFO Mangrove Coast
Echo Boost Blue
Redington Predator Salt
Orvis Clearwater
I would love some feedback based on you actually casting and/or fishing them. The only ones I'm leaning away from are the Mangrove Coast and Clearwater simply because they may not be enough rod for crappy conditions. Which is one of the biggest reasons I'm getting a 10wt. But maybe I'm being too restrictive.
I have a leader in mind, but won't say.
And no, I don't need advice telling me I don't need a 10wt.
Also not interested in 9wt even if it's a "big 9". And I don't want a "light 11". I want a 10wt.
I actually have 2 11wt rods, but they are pretty much musky specific.
This will either be fun or a complete disaster.
Haha!
Thanks!
