    50th high school reunion!

Unfortunately mine occurred as we were just coming out of covid lockdown and didn't feel completely safe attending. Often wish I had.

Joe's humorous thought for the day: Since any one of Brian Crouser's three throws could have won the gold, shouldn't they have given him  all the medals?

    What the heck…?

Had an experience with one as a kid in a farm creek. My brother and I saw this big old girl sitting in a pool and herded it into one of those quart size peanut butter jars that it only fit into with the tail curled up with a clutch of eggs. For such a small creek we had never seen it before or...

Canyon Creek access in Chelatchie WA?

An interesting thing to note concerning how humanity influences wildlife was a modification to the gene pool. Last time I was there, every fish hooked did this wiggle that looked like the fish was being electrocuted that instantly tossed the hook. Only fish with this trait were survivors.

Nordagust In the mist of morning This one grows on me a little more each time I listen. The usual Nordic mellotron drenched melancholy.

Joe's existential thought for the day Listening to Pink Floyd's Money and remembering how radio used to censor it, finally realizing that by doing that, they  were giving them that do-goody-good bullshit.🤑

Cutthroat taken from Blue Lake on the Pacific Coast Trail in Gifford Pinchot. Cooked with only butter and flour over a campfire. Still the best.

    Official 2024 NFL Season Discussion

Jesus Colin, what does Coach Campbell have to do to get some luv here? Just pull a team up from the absolute dregs of the NFL. Most of those guys inherited teams that were already good.

One set of climate numbers that floored me was Phoenix going one month last year where the  average temperature was well over 100° Also saw a tv weather forecaster announce a temperature drop in Las Vegas from 118° to 113° over three days saying "I don't know that you would notice the...

    Idaho whitefish

Now, I do use the "backward release", as I call it, on pike minnow but please note that these are fish with literally a 'Wanted Dead' bounty on their heads. Another thing one might consider is this type of action returns a form of sustainence back into the biosphere that other organisms may...
