I'll be following this thread closely. I've been looking for a lightweight rain jacket that actually keeps me dry for years, and it's been slim pickins. The last one I bought was supposed to be suitable for mountaineering, but the only ways it fit that bill was that it was very light and packed...

My bike had mag wheels. Heavy as all hell, but silent!

Seems perfectly fair to me, albeit a major bummer.

What's up with the goofy arm motions the Dodgers players always make to their dugout every time they get a hit, steal a base, or successfully scratch their asses? Man, that's annoying. Would love to see Ohtani play for a team outside of Southern California, but at his salary, the only other...

I wonder if the analysis claiming the big dropout rate was limited to annual, resident licenses or if it included the huge number of people who buy out-of state licenses for destination fishing trips. Lots of those folks won't be back the next year, if many will likely return in future years...

I like a clicker with a fish on, but I always feel a little weird shattering the silence around me when stripping out line, especially around a bunch of gear guys. I'd probably own some clickers if I had gotten serious about fly fishing earlier in life, but by the time I started buying my gear...

This one brought back memories of growing up in Colorado and being a casual Broncos fan at the start of Elway's career. All the local kids would try to emulate Elway's legendary arm power by throwing the Nerf football (that was all we could grip firmly enough) as hard as we could, trying to make...

But wow, do Darnold and Smith-Njigba have something going or what?

That was really, really bad. He had plenty of time to throw the ball away before he retreated to the end zone, too.

It seemed like the right move to me at the time. Woo was struggling in that inning. With hindsight, a lot of Wilson's decisions didn't work out tonight, but he's not the reason they lost. Players gotta come through to make managers great.

Those Skamania fish are (were?) some badass hatchery brats. My first steelhead was a Skamania hatchery fish of about 9 pounds on the Kalama in June 1999, and I'll never forget it. Came all the way to my feet silently before it figured out it was hooked, and then all hell broke loose. Screaming...

I feel for Raiders fans, because I am a casual Mariners fan. Glad I'm not a hardcore, or I might have killed myself by now. Talk about a curse!!!

Way too soon, Dude. But then, that is your way. Cheers!

And... if someone (anyone) else hit for Rivas or Canzone and struck out, I would have felt much better about the ending. Rivas had an amazing, clutch hit in the ALDS decider, but both he and Canzone looked like AAA guys in this series.

True, but not even that dogshit ump would have called that a strike. Julio went into hero mode and came up empty.

If Julio lays off that last pitch, Cal is up with a chance to win it. That would have been epic, win or lose, but c'est la vie.

Ouch. Maybe 20 more years? Well, it was a fun ride.

Rivas and Canzone to lead off the biggest inning in team history... very questionable.

Seahawks are cruising, in case anyone's interested. No reason to bail on the M's before this is over.

Of course it will, but that's what happens when you guess wrong.
