    What do I have here?

This was my first "attempt" at owning a fly rod. I say attempt because IMHO it's a lousy fly rod and not much better as a spinning rod. I'd use it as a wall hanger, nothing more. Try to find a Fenwick FF79, 8' 6wt. Now that was an excellent rod that I still own and occasionally use. The Fenwick...

    NBA..

There is a fine art to watching baseball. It needs be learned. As a kid my dad would take me to SLC City Bees games where the company he worked for had seats behind the home dugout. Man... hot dogs and peanuts with piles of shells under my seat on a cool summer's evening...

I was walking the beach at PointNo-Point today and came across these small mounds in the sand. Each about 1 1/4" in diameter and above the high water line. Any idea what they are?

    Puget Sound

It would be greatly appreciated if you wouldn’t spread those ashes just yet… I was looking for some info on tying Delia Squids and came across a reference to your floating pattern. I then saw a post that said a person should go back to the old site and check out your posts there. So, I did...

Cork length on small stream rods?

    The old Granger western grip on their bamboo rods was 6 ¾”. A 6’ Phillipson glass rod had a 5” grip while a 7 ½ footer had a 6” grip. A Larry Kenny 8’3” 5wt. glass rod has a 5 7/8” grip while a Scott G 906 and 907 have a 7 ½” grip. Yeah, I know… TMI… I’ve used the 5 7/8” grip length on the last...

if you could live anywhere on the sound..?

We moved up here a bit less than 2 years ago. Hansville was my first choice of where to live. We didn't quite get there but we're north of the casino on the hood canal side. Wouldn't trade the area for anywhere else. I would think that most of the nukes would be stored further north on Indian...

    What's your favorite intermediate line?

Cortland Clear Camo all the way. Been fishing them, well forever?, 20+ years?, anyway a long time. Extremely durable, no memory issues (with the lines that is, me? uhh?) 4, 5, and 6 weights, fresh water.

Just testing now I find I can I can post pictures to the site, just not my photos. But - I can also post a screenshot! Easy as falling on a slippery rock! So for the purposes of this forum - problem solved. I'll do some further trials when time permits. Thanks!

It's got to be the way I'm processing (or not processing correctly) the image then. The photo was taken with a Z6 Nikon, the out-of-camera jpeg is 15 MB. I haven't done any post processing of the image, just viewing the file in Photo Mechanic and re-sizing it in Irfanview to various file sizes...

What is the size limit for posting a photo. I was trying to post a jpeg but always get the warning that the file size is too large. I eventually reduced the size to 256K but even that would not post. Going any smaller and the jpeg artifacts are pretty bad.
