Loon from last week in BC

The bird and his mate were quite happy anglers at the lake were catching and releasing fish, I saw him go under several boats. Their call is to me one of the most evocative sounds in nature.

Not a fish eating bird, but I'm pretty sure a Red Crossbilll could use its bill to extract a hook from your ear lobe.

Haller Lake tonight, these guys were just not getting along....I find crows really hard to get a good pic of, they just have so little contrast, but when you do, they look sooo cool, almost like a chunk of metal
