    Doe tag filled

I dont know if congratulations is the right term but am happy for you. I see how you care for the deer and that is so important. I can taste those backstraps. We recently moved to Seattle due to unfortunate family health issues. Last season was the first time in the last 50 years that I did not...

    NFR 2025 Gardening Growing Thread

This year was my first season gardening in Seattle. A lot different from the hot climate I was used to down South. The humidity poses some challenges for the intensive planting I did in the past. I learned a lot. Got some tomatoes, peppers, onions and spuds and my Cactus bloomed. I’ll have to do...

Got any concrete plant pics? The joys of salty brownlining

How would one go about joining this unique and storied angling cult of the concrete plants? Are there special rituals and secret handshakes involved? I look forward to two years from now and hope that I too can partake of this incredible experience. I’ve already started preparing myself by...

    Stripping baskets

I ended up getting an ECOastal basket. Difficult to spend that much on foam but I used it today for the first time and it diffidently helped with distance and line control. I wish I could say that I caught a Salmo but no such luck

    Stripping baskets

I too had a discussion with my wife about my need for a “stripping basket”. I unfortunately and mistakenly mentioned my desire for a “stripper basket”. Not good

    Stripping baskets

I’m new to the area. I’ve fished a few times for Cutts and Pinks and have determined that a stripping basket would be helpful. I have never used one. Anyone have any preferences for them. I’m looking at an Ecoastal basket from Scientific Anglers. Any thoughts on these or others? Thanks, The New Guy.

Drill some holes in stripping basket or not.

Kind of in the same subject. Anybody have any experience with S.A. Ecoastal stripping basket? Thanks for your thoughts

    Puget Sound

After moving here almost a year ago I finally got the chance to get out and fish. I went to the nearby secret beach by Greenwood and caught three. This was my biggest. I don’t think it’s a Pink, ah ….maybe it’s a Silver!
