My new favorite way to eat pink- Deep fried in Pakistani Pakora spices. Haven't eaten fish like this since I was a little kid and it made me nostalgic, I'd almost forgotten about it. My mom used to make it with Costco rainbow trout

Where were you fishing? Also got on board with a bright slimmer. Also had an Orca pass by, and saw a couple harbor porpoises. Really a cool evening to be out fishing.

Starry flounder are a special catch, tougher than pink salmon to entice on a fly.

I think they are very good when properly cared for and eaten fresh— they just don’t keep, and a lot of people can’t handle that.

Ok…I usually don’t take pictures of meals but…..fresh pink salmon cooked in butter/orange juice with dried dill and pepper served with my garden fresh sugar snap peas! Wow! Good eats!
