I haven’t made it to mine yet…..summer’s winding down, hopefully I can wet wads at least once this year. My little blue line has rainbows, cutts and brookies, all waiting and willing to eat dry flies! We’ll see if there’s a report to follow….
I think I was there again earlier this week.
The fish were dark with that purple cast to their dorsal area and shoulder. I don't handle them, unhooking and letting them swim out of the net. I could only see jaw slashes on a couple of them.
I've had one in the net too, along with what looked like a snowberry. I actually sized down once to catch a Red Shiner. They were hitting my larger fly before it could get to an obvious lie I was trying to reach.
