My usual bed time is like 8pm so that was a rough one for me. Just now getting my day started, 3hrs later than usual.

Given how good the Texans defense is, I'm pretty happy with how that went. Not perfect by any means, especially on offense, but they almost hung 30 on probably the most aggressive defense in the NFL at the moment.

Some odd or non calls by the refs last night, at least in my opinion.
The illegal blind side block on Mafe looked like a block that takes place many times during a game.
Stroud got drilled on the same play.
The jumping on the pile didn’t look overly egregious. Lawrence looked offsides to me.
The Hawks really kept Houston in the game. Four turnovers and they still won. You won’t see that very often.

By any measure that was a truly ugly game. It rained yellow flags. Neither team looked ready for prime time. Questionable coaching, play calling, refereeing, everything seemed to be a step off and out of sync. Bad mojo all around.

I mean, it wasn't that bad. A few dumb play calls. Texans offense couldn't get anything going. But it was otherwise Seattle being quite good on both sides of the ball, while putting their offense up against a very good defense.

Yellow flags are definitely becoming more of a thing in the last week or so though. I agree with that part.

Seahawks have the 4th best scoring offense in the league, the top wide receiver in the leage, and now have the best run defense in the league.

They just put up 27 points on the top ranked overall defense in the league.

Even the best teams make mistakes, they're just more glaring. The turnovers were definitely frustrating though - two I'll chalk up to bonehead cute play calls. Despite that, I'd say Kubiak is the best offensive coordinator Seattle has had in as long as I can remember. If a few dumb play calls a game keep him as our OC vs getting poached as a head coaching candidate, that's a win. Rather that then go back to someone like Grubb or Waldron.

I'm gonna watch the replay in slow motion and create a list of missed calls...

Maybe the thread was mistitled....
It should have been seachicken discussion, not NFL discussion...

So then contribute to the NFL discussion. Complaining about teams you don't like isn't furthering the conversation.

My best friend is a colts fan and he was just sending me a link that the cults are the least looked up least favored team of all, like they don't sell jerseys or nothing..
The cults have a dream schedule... they gotta play jacksonville a couple times and the titans....
