Jeanne’s family cabin on the Washougal River. Renovation in progress. Much whittling and window repairs. In 1921 7 guys put there money together and bought a property on the upper river. As time went by the partners were bought out and in the end there were two and in 1951 a picnic structure and stone BBQ was built. The grandfathers of the Andrews family bought some Heights houses that were post WW2 houses. For a deal - demolished and saved the lumber and built a 2 story cabin…I met Jeanne in 1972-3 in college , did not last long . She and I married others, had families , kids later grandkids. We found each other again in 2018. Started with a phone call. Now we work as caretakers of the cabin and Jeanne takes care of bizz details. I garden do dishes and keep things sort of tidy.A lot of extended family members involved in the cabin use.Two of the 3 Andrews Sisters are still Alive , one is still aharp and in her 90’s. I love the place. Jeanne and I spent the night there in 1973. The whole thing is sort of a fairy tale love story, I guess…
