I'm curious as to the source of this pattern. My first Snake River steelhead was on a Lady Godiva that wasn't even close to this pattern (nice tie, btw), I think the Lady Godiva I fished was from a pattern I made up and tied with pink dyed polar bear hair (trying to recollect a fly I tied 30 some years ago?).
The lady Godiva was 1st Introduced by Ralph Olsen about 1936. The fly I tied is a slight variant as the original had no throat and the body was tied with seal's fur and not floss like I have here. Olsen also tied a alternate with everywhere you see red in the Lady Godiva is was tied with orange.I'm curious as to the source of this pattern.
