What is the unfortunate main course? 😆
@Starman77 and I think it is a tiger salamander - something he too has seen in a Basin lake rainbow trout's diet. I'm thinking I need to take a lesson in tiger musky fly tying from @clarkman and see if I can catch BIG trout (The Hunt for Big Fish - just call me Larry).

These two flies were the most popular today with basin smallies. No giants, but a good number of mediums. They were inhaling the pink & white popper pretty enthusiasticly.
That 4" brush fly also took a trout that did a very passable smallmouth impersonation - I was pretty surprised when I finally got it up to the surface!

Caddis was out today! It started raining really hard and because there was caddis in the air, the rain pushed the caddis onto the water and the fish noticed very quickly.
So I put on this caddis that I kinda made up.

Caught me a solid fish. The photo is bad because I took it from a video.
