Walked into a lake below 1,000 feet today. The trail started like this...

A bear had passed the same way not too long before...

Then we followed a faint ribboned trail...

To a small lake with tannin stained water.

Bright sunshine and blue skies make for good pictures but so-so fishing. Caught four cutthroat 8-12" fishing a Granger 8642 rod and a sinking line and a black wooly bugger. Water was pretty warm. It's time to head to the higher lakes with cooler water
