Thanks @Taxon , when I started looking at the stuff Mark posted I thought the crane fly looked close, or Hemerodromia. There is an abundance of crane flies in our area.Hi Tom-
I believe it to be a Crane Fly larva, possibly (but not necessarily) of genus Antocha.
I think it's an Athericdae sp. (Water Snipe Fly). Below are some links. It's on page 11 of this pdf.
