SFR Squirrels (Thread of month contender)

Saw black squirrels in Michigan back in July. Had never seen one before.

There are black squirrels in Stanley Park in Vancouver. I saw one in Bellingham recently too.

Eastern Grey squirrels are non-native.

According to the photos, our backyard is inhabited by Eastern and Western Gray squirrels. I small guys must be the Eastern variety and the bigger ones must be the natives.... they have no brown fur, just white and gray.

Use them for food. My friend has several English Walnut trees that get invaded by squirrels every year. I take a .177 down there and get several squirrels a year. I think it's a pretty good deal, he grows walnuts and I get free meat. Fried squirrel, squirrel and biscuits, squirrel burgoo and Hmong squirrel stew.
