speed blood knot

I don’t think that is as strong as a real blood knot, but might be easier to tie when strength is not an issue - and if strength is an issue, you wouldn’t use a blood knot anyway.
for fish over 10#, I always use triple surgeons...use the blood knot for tying the top chrom/fly to a 5" tag end, which on 3x extends the top fly away from the leader, and this speed knot makes it very fast to re-rig when a bruiser has trashed the tippet by the time it ends up in the net...have yet to experience failure with this speed knot.
