What are some of your favorite adult skwala patterns? I know a simple chubby chernobyl in like a tan would work just fine but wondering if people have had good success with other patterns?

This is a pattern I tied for the Yakima a few years ago, but it's been far more effective on the Clark Fork.

I used to fish the Yakima a lot during the skwala hatch and have a whole box devoted to the nymphs and dries. I haven't had that fly box out in years, I'm sorry to say...
Here are a couple that I liked. They are basically variations on a stimulator, but tied on a straight shank hook. I also found a simple black stimmie worked well in a pinch.

Was floating the Sol duc during the February cold snap, it kinda warmed up the last day & and bugs started coming off the river in the early afternoon. I had something big and tan buzz by my head going upstream, I mean big like a size 6 fly. Gotta start carrying a butterfly net out there to satisfy my entomology bent.

Well, if it was in biology class it probably wouldn't 'bug' the teacher too much if you got caught.
I used some bullet head skwalas the other day on the Yakima and they were effective
I'll second the bullet head.
Also like the flushfloater. Take a black or dark brown sharpie to the top half of the foam body to make it darker on the top half, pretty damn good match.
