Friend filmed this last weekend while he was out hunting. They passed on this bull as they were hunting one even larger.

I would've shit my pants.

Not exactly the same class, but years ago, on opening day my buddy comes over, 0:dark thirty, I had breakfast on the table. We had just about finished and I leveled with him. "There's a nice four point bull in the back yard, we could wait till light and take that one. Personally, I'd rather go hunting than shoot one in my back yard." He looked at me for a bit, as if he was trying to see if I was being humorous, and said this is going to be a good story at work.

You will pass up alot of good bulls looking for the big bull, and end up with not much.

My brother-in-law passed on a big Tom the first day of turkey season. He was fighting with another and my BIL just watched. Never saw them again. We call him Dances with Turkeys. Maybe Dances with Elk fits here…

I'd have shot it, no question. But I respect guys who put in the time and effort and set high goals.

Some tags in WA take years if not decades to get, to some taking a ragaddy 5 point you are not doing the tag justice!
It's not all about harvest to some, they enjoy the chase and out smarting the herd bull.
