Took my annual trip to the eastern washington desert. Brought a 9' spliced Sharpes and a Sharpes 88. Both 6 weights.

The rainbows were cooperative and hard fighting. Got half my fish on sinking or intermediate lines with an Olive Carey Special or Olive marabou damsel or olive wet fly. The other half of the fish came to a floating line and a pair of chironomids. No bobbers here. I fished a 15' leader and watched the end of the line.

Walked over to the side of the parking lot at the access area where lots of you camp to take a leak and almost stepped on this guy...
