Life of the Party
My wife is off visiting her family and unfortunately it is my responsibility to make sure her three dogs don’t die before she returns. They woke me up early this morning so I figured after getting them taken care of I might just hit the local C&R lake before the wind picked up. I gave myself three hours, thinking that even in the worst case scenario they should still be alive in that short of time. I was the only one there on arrival and for the first couple of hours. Fishing was a little slow with only four in the net, but they fought well and went 17” to 20”. There was plenty of entertainment though. At the launch there were a couple of muskrats playing around and at the east end a large flock pelicans were cruzing, feeding, then taking flight and landing. Fun to watch.

Fun morning Steve!
I saw a muskrat working diligently on the shoulder of HWY 17, on the dam. He was there one my way into town, and again on my way back out. 😂
