Kill Pebble Permanently
Never ends. The Kuskowim flows right by Bethel and a ton of great tribs dump into it (like the Kwethluk - sp?). Seems like a really really bad location for this. Not that different of an impact to Pebble I would imagine. There are a some small tribs in that area with old gold mines that don't hold any resident fish.
Big mining operations have always been wasteful to the environment.
Greed = waste
Living here in gold country (Southern OR) I see the destruction of the old time mining operations.
Whole mountain sides have been hosed down and a 100 years later very little has grown back on what was left.
The creek bottoms filled with boulders, screwing up the spawning beds for the salmon and trout.
That is enough out of me.
