N. Idaho

It became winter agin this week. We went from Skwala and March Brown hatches back to midges in 5 days😂. I didn’t have my photographer with me today so I only have a single fish pic but the fishing was fairly good. I had to get into my small box today but I found plenty of fish willing to eat a #18 soft hackle...nothing big but lots of fun. I did get to see a MASSIVE school of cutthroat in a backwater slough coming off the main river. I have never seen anything like it. The school was 20-30 feet long 4 feet deep and wide. I thought they were WT’s at first. I cast into the school and had 2-3 cuties float right up and take. The fish were all 10-12” long…not big but be no means minnows. I couldn’t even guess how many fish were in that school. I took a video that wasn’t awesome. I captured a frame from the video that shows a sliver of what I saw.
