That above pic was Cooper River. And of course he sent me this and said ‘On first cast’, (from some where). Didn’t tell me yet. He’s a big boy at 6’6” and 200+ and so are his hands. So I’m gonna say 13” alpine lake RB.

Maybe, but I think it looks more like a Twin Lakes westslope cutthroat trout, based on the spot pattern and what looks like an orange slash under the jaw. NIce fish and nice place to spend a summer day.

Good eye. He caught this at a central cascade lake which is known to have both RB and Cutthroat according to the WDFW
