Doing a sea lion hide with the hair on would be pretty much hardcore rain proof.
I bet those sea lion are greasy.
I did some trapping in my younger days. Beaver and racoon are real greasy.
Historically natives valued that hide for many different uses. Just think it could also open up jobs for manufacturing of such coats within each tribe if extra hides are collected, or raw hide sale profits. Sort of like the salmon sell back programs.
I actually think this law change is a pretty cool opportunity to bridge some of the gap between the two fishing groups. Common ground as we know is hard to come by between us. If thereās anyway to volunteer, Iāll be there.
