I just finished up a 7' 2/1 4wt. It's somewhat fast in action for a bamboo rod and capable of easily placing a fly 50' on target. The taper was a Wayne Cattanach creation that Daryl Hayashida modified a bit and named it "Sir D". It's really a fun rod to cast. It was the first taper that I copied back in 2006 and it has remained a favorite. Surprisingly enough this 7' rod is a gas even in a float tube. I'm not much of a photographer but here it is.

That looks really nice, what a bonus it's fun to fish. Or should that be reversed.

Great looking rod. I keep toying with the idea of doing a PMQ, and the Sir D seems to be a popular taper for that.
