Late September in the basin

This hasn’t been a year for putting in a lot of time on the water but I got out today to a beautiful basin lake. This lake doesn’t have much shoal habitat but plenty of structure and drop offs. My usual approach is to throw leeches on a fast sinking line and it works. But today I worked out an indicator method that was a lot of fun. I was able to find plenty of fish cruising the deeper side of the drops.

Sounds like a fun outing, and you also somehow avoided the psycho murderous monkey toy that was lurking over your shoulder about to kill you—always a good day in the Basin!
