Was lucky for St. Patty's day and got this nice papio, also got a bone earlier same day.

Can you eat papio? I know there are fish in Hawaii that can carry ciguatera. Is that much of a problem?

Papio (this is an omilu) is fine eating…especially as sashimi. When papio grow up to be ulua (jacks over 10 lbs) the incidence of ciguatera increases, especially in very large jacks approaching 100 lbs…ditto with large kaku (cuda)…
