Has Anyone? - Lizardfish

Lizardfish are a pretty common catch when fly fishing for Speckled Trout in Florida inshore waters. They attack the same flies used for specks and actually put up a good flight, especially the 14"+ fish. Despite their appearance, apparently, they are good eating. I haven't tried one yet, but am building up courage based on a few articles I've read. So the question is: Has Anyone tried Lizardfish? What's the verdict?

I used to catch the California Lizard fish in San Diego Bay occasionally, while I was targeting other species. Never even thought about eating one. Perhaps I missed out on a culinary treat.

Never seen one, but I have little tropical fishing experience. Be sure and report back after you try one Mike!
