Who uses GSP thread for tying?
What size would be appropriate for spinning deer on say mid to large muddlers?

Thank you! There’s a few but I like the Vevus 150 GSP.
The 210 denier from UTC Ultra Thread is strong but seems too slippery. You can get heavier GSP from Vevus if you want but the 150 is pretty good.
I haven’t tried the 100
Probably works fine and less bulk
OkayI challenge you to try and break the thread before cutting the hair
Veevus 50, 100, 150. Flatten the thread to reduce cutting in.I like Veevus 100 denier. Plenty for spinning hair and will keep your finishing head tight.
Good tip!Flatten the thread to reduce cutting in.
Just spooled some 100 up that I got on my trip to Pacific Fly in Mill Creek this morning. Part of my $92.00 purchase. (not complaining)I challenge you to try and break the thread before cutting the hair

I will crank on it tomorrow.
First impression - way thinner than the 150 I normally use
Just to throw this out there I use nano silk from 6/0 down to 24/0 which is Kevlar based. I don’t recommend anything smaller than 12/0 depending on size of fly. If you go smaller than 12/0 it will cut if you apply to much pressure, but for smaller muddlers, irresistible Wullfs, goodard type caddis it’s sweet.
