I landed a 55+ lb king in Alaska on a two piece 9’ 8 wt. I was fishing the Ugashak for rainbows with a flesh fly, the bows were sitting behind the mating kings eating eggs when I finally pissed of a huge red buck. Our guide ran way down stream, I pointed my rod towards the bushes behind me and she’s tailed it with most of my backing out!
