Got a small dip net, like the boys had, at the dollar store. About 3' long and 10" net hoop. A whole bunch of stuff living in this SE WA stream; small mays, free living caddis, and Ira did well imitating the square cased caddis and similar sized/colored small stuff. I'd sorted out the bulk of the big cased October caddis. Need to work on my photo skills, maybe get a container or two, and focus on the smaller stuff sometimes.
This guy was active and fast, about a 10 3xl
And I was surprised by how many of these little stones there were, probably 3:1 over the big dark ones.
