Like Krusty, dumped my yak doing the same thing, and got tossed out by waves several times at Pacific City when first learning to yak for fish. Always glad to be wearing my PFD.

I think the requirements as they are written need to be less lenient. You have to have it on board but not ON . Maybe it should be changed for kayaks, canoes, and small human powered craft under 14 feet . Hoping that would cut down on the senseless losses.
