A short walk to a snoqualmie pass high lake today with Greg Armstrong. I fished a Sharpes Eighty Five,8'5" staggered ferrule 6 weight with an intermediate line. Greg fished a Granger 8040 and a floating line. He caught the first fish and the biggest fish on a beadhead nymph.
I walked the shoreline stalking cruising fish in the shallows and caught my share of cutts on size 12-14 wet flies (Peter Ross, Mallard and Claret, Butcher).
The water was cool. The air was warm. The fish were biting. A good day to be alive.
