Low gradient alpine meadow creeks are a rarity in Washington. Phil K knows one although it's not the stream in his recent post. I took my 6'9" Constable bamboo rod and a Cortland Sylk DT 4 line to another. Knew I'd be fishing terrestrials when I saw this guy on the hike to the stream...
Lots of creeping and crawling to spot fish. A precise cast into shadows against the grass or the head of the pool...

I fished up the stream for several hours, catching fish along the way. There were still fish in the shrunken headwaters where the stream was obscured by grass.
Time to walk back to the car and let the burned over forest grow for another year.
