99….almost 100

I tried and tried to C&R 100 fish today….all I could get was 99! I missed and lost so many that any one of those would’ve been my 100…..all little recently planted stockers but what a blast! Some on emergers but casting and stripping one leech was the ticket….

In my 58 years of fly fishing I’ve hit and passed that number five times so far…..sounds like a fish story….I know. But it’s stupid number days like these that make up for skunks or super slow days….get those hatchery brats while they’re dumb and hungry!!

Good stuff Steve. I got around 50 in a couple hours earlier this year, a few days after that truck had visited. I don't think I've ever stuck with it long enough to get your numbers, might have to try one day. A couple hours is usually all my attention span is good for, then it's off to look for crappie, or hit the river.
