Wiese’s Bob Hopper 2.0
A quick and easy pattern. Walter makes his living tying/guiding in/around Yellowstone, some serious hopper country and this one has been well received by a few trout in my part of the state. I don’t have the fancy cutter to shape the body, but I did figure out that a toenail clipper does a neat job tapering the back end of the foam, so no more ragged scissor cuts. The Arakawa is a Japanese "tenkara" fly pattern. Reminds me a bit of the "Doc Spratley".
