No single fish stands out but this trip definitely does. The most and largest SRC I've ever caught in one place, and a mountain of coho:

Lots of great variety this year. The spice, as it were.
My pocket computer says I caught this fish at 9:30 on 1/2/22. Not a bad start.

And I caught this fish this afternoon, today, so I guess my year has come full circle.

My favorite of the year is a brookie that my 10 year old daughter caught. We went backpacking on Father’s Day weekend and it was very cold and nasty. She’s a fishing nut though, so between snow flurries we would head out. I went back to our site to get her a new spinner, and heard her yelling. She had grabbed my fly rod and caught the best fish of the trip. As it was starting to snow again.

I love that girl

Didn't get to fish as much as I wanted to in 2022, but then who does? Memorable fish/moments from this year that will stick with me.

Another early spring in Central OR with my father.
